Slate Quarriers cottage on the Isle of Seil, in a
traditional row of cottages around 200 years old, accessible
by road over the famous Bridge over The Atlantic, 14 miles
south of Oban. Golf, fishing, sailing, walking,
wildlife and lots more. The quietly situated property enjoys direct
views from the front over the golf course, Balvicar Bay and
the Sound of Seil. Available to rent throughout the
year. The cottage at Balvicar is thoughtfully and comfortably furnished with
excellent facilities.
Accommodation sleeps four, in
one double and one twin bedroom, has a
bathroom, sitting room with wood burning stove,
kitchen/diner and sun porch. The property has electric
central heating. It has a TV with Sky, DVD, CD player
and Radio. The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped. All bed
linen and towels are provided. Well behaved pets are
allowed by arrangement. We ask there is no smoking in
the house please.
Centrally heated
and cosy in winter, light and airy in summer. The
property has a traditional
appearance, thick stone walls and a slate roof with a sun
porch at the front. The house overlooks four of the nine
holes public golf course (the other holes are behind the
house) and has natural (tidal!) water hazards.
The golf course may be played by
visitors, enquire at Balvicar Stores 100 yards away.
The whole area is one of
natural beauty and is perfect for those who enjoy golf,
walking, sailing and fishing – and for those people who just enjoy
peace and quiet. Approximately two miles away there is
a village "local" - The Tigh an Truish –and a petrol
station. Balvicar has a well-stocked licensed grocery shop
and post office. The village of Ellenabeich is two miles to
the south and has its own Brewery.
Ferries to Easdale and Luing are about two miles
distant.
Golf,
sailing, fishing, cycling, walking, - many activities
available locally to enjoy or just relax in peace.
The property does not have any garden ground but
there is parking available to the front and you can step out
on to the golf course or walk around the bay.
